North Ormesby Outdoor Market

A thriving market has been the hub of the area for nearly all of this time and it brings in much need revenue for shop traders as well.

Market days in North Ormesby, or Doggy as it affectionately known, are Tuesdays and Saturdays when the market area are home to stalls selling a wide range of goods and produce from fruit and vegetables through clothes, hardware and computer and phone accessories, healthy food and fresh fish, eggs, meat and confectionery along with other produce.

The market has recently undergone major works in transforming the parking and spaces for stall holders and we want to encourage more traders to promote their wares here on both market days

There’s is parking nearby and this market contributes to the vibrancy of this well know part of Middlesbrough

In early 2016, in response to changing needs in the community, NONDET established a Development Company trading arm and took over the running of the market on a Service Level Agreement from the Council. This agreement is for one year then if successful, we will take over complete responsibility for the market.

NONDET recently secured £10,000 to promote new market activities and to promote the market to a wider audience. We have also purchased 36 new market stalls
