Romford Market is steeped in tradition and has been successfully trading for over 750 years, and remains at the heart of the community today.

For 2017/18, a £3.1 million programme, developed by Havering Council in partnership with the Mayor of London, will unveil a new Market House style café/restaurant with outdoor dwell/entertainment space for visitors to meet, eat, shop and enjoy.

Some things will always stay the same – the proud heritage and theatre of the Market, the vista of the historic St. Edward the Confessor Church, and the stories of generations of families who have met, socialised and shopped in Romford Market.

Romford continues to thrive and offers both loyal and new shoppers a great choice of cafes, bakeries, pubs, restaurants and the variety of shops, that the four main shopping centres bring; The Liberty, The Mercury Mall, Romford Shopping Hall and The Brewery. Havering Museum, two cinemas, a children’s play centre and ten pin bowling is all close by – and with 5,000 parking spaces, and excellent road and rail links – what isn’t there to love.
