Christmas gets earlier every year according to popular legend – and it’s true in Worcester, with bookings open now for stalls, entertainment and coaches at the ever popular Victorian Christmas Fayre.

2016 will be the 24th anniversary of this huge event and new data from Worcester-based company, The Research Solution has shown just what a major tourism asset for the city it is.

Visitors to last year’s Christmas Fayre contributed £8,240,463 into the city’s economy – and of that, £7,251,608 was additional expenditure which would not have occurred without the Christmas Fayre taking place.

The Mayor of Worcester, Cllr Paul Denham, said:
“It may seem a little early to be talking about the Victorian Christmas Fayre, but there’s no doubt this much loved event makes a big contribution to our city’s economy. If you want to get involved with running a stall or providing entertainment, now is the time to get in touch.”

Worcester City Council will be delivering the 2016 Victorian Christmas Fayre working closely with markets operator LSD Promotions Ltd, who will again be providing a great selection of stalls for all of your Christmas gifts.  This close relationship, and excellent knowledge base, will ensure the event goes from strength to strength.
