Market Place were very proud to deliver the very First Food and Drink Festival for Market Harborough over the Bank Holiday weekend, set in the beautiful Welland Park.
The Festival was the brain child of Nick Rhodes Chief Executive of Market Place and Sairah Butt Market Manager of the Towns Market Hall which is operated by Market Place in Partnership with Market Harborough Council.
For those who were looking to pick up some recipe tips, Masterchef finalist Tony Rodd and BBC’s Stephanie Moon showcased their culinary skills by cooking up a treat in the demo kitchen which was sponsored by the local Angel Hotel.
A fabulous mix of foods was sampled by the people of South Leicestershire, from stuffed flatbreads to Catalonian Tapas the choice was amazing. Cheeses, chutneys and charcuterie will be gracing the dining tables of Market Harborough for weeks to come.
With a Cider Tent, Polish Bar and the very exquisite ‘Décor Noir’ even the Bank Holiday rain couldn’t keep customers away, with the added attraction of a children zone including face painting there really was something for the whole family.
Allan Hartwell Managing Director of Market Place said
‘We are delighted that Market Place has brought a new and exciting event into the Market Harborough calendar. The success we have had in year one gives us something to build on and as a company we are looking forward to working closely with the Council to grow this event for future years’.
