Wisbech Market

With a long history, but lots of current bargains, Wisbech Market Place is a bustling place with a variety of stalls on site Monday to Saturday for a range of goods and local produce, plus a new Sunday Market and Car Boot.

The Town Council is pleased to have well-established and renowned stalls all offering good, fresh, local produce, and a range of bargain goods. There are a variety of stalls, some trading during the week, others on a regular basis on a particular day plus occasional speciality stalls and services. Wisbech Town Council desires to improve its markets offer to the public, as well as playing its part in enhancing the vibrancy and vitality of Wisbech town centre for the benefit of all of those who use Wisbech as a place to live, work or visit. It is felt that the operation of a Sunday market and associated car boot event on Wisbech Market Place accords with those ambitions and will have the community benefits of providing additional shopping and other facilities in Wisbech town centre for the public, as well as contributing towards enhancement of the economic circumstances within the town.

A new venture of a Sunday Market and Car Boot commences on 17 May 2015 and will operate weekly between 9.00 am and 2.00 pm. The launch will coincide with the annual Love Your Local Market (LYLM) event, which runs between 13 and 23 May 2015. Once again, Wisbech Town Council will be participating in the LYLM national event. This year there is Country & Western themed entertainment and activities taking place in association with the markets on Saturdays 16 and 23 May.
