Fine Food & Craft Market…

Penkridge Market will be holding a fantastic Fine Food & Craft Market this Saturday (17th September). Fabulous food and drink plus local arts and crafts will all be available, and with an indoor market as well, it’s a great place to shop, whatever the weather. The Market will be open between 9am and 3.30pm, and admission to the event and parking is free of charge, making it a fantastic free day out for all the family.

There will be a wide range of local produce, from local cheeses, breads and olives, to homemade pork pies and chutneys. There will also be local farms selling their meat, poultry, eggs and game fresh from the farm. For those of you with a sweeter palette, there will be plenty of homemade cakes and scones for a delicious afternoon tea, plus handmade chocolates, fudge and toffees.

In addition to all this fabulous food, there will be Craft Stalls selling everything from handmade jewellery to vintage gifts. A variety of local artists will also be there, selling watercolours as well as wooden carvings. There will also be stalls selling cards; plants; garden ornaments; clothes; watches; antiques and fishing supplies to name but a few.

All of the regular market traders will be attending too, with all of your classic market bargains from hardware and electricals to cosmetics and candles.

There will be a wide variety of refreshments on site, including The Old Deanery Farm Cafe, which serves a wide range of hot and cold food from a bacon sandwich to delicious fish and chips.
