Search your attic! Dig out that buried treasure! Dust off the family heirlooms!

Gildings Auctioneers and Valuers, the region’s leading saleroom for Works of Art, Antiques, Furniture, Jewellery and Collectables, have teamed up with Harborough Market to bring you a regular monthly valuation day.

Starting on Wednesday 15th July at Harborough Market on Northampton Road, you can bring your antiques along between 10am and 2pm for a free valuation from one of Gilding’s valuation team.

“We are delighted to have Gildings joining our Wednesday Antiques Market once a month,”
said Harborough Market Manager Sairah Butt.
“We hope that people come along and have their items valued, but also spend some time in our food and general market halls.

Gilding’s Auctioneers, which was started in 1980 by John Gilding, has a team of valuers on hand to provide expert advice including John’s sons Mark Gilding, who is a general valuer and Will Gilding a specialist in decorative arts & design.

“We are very excited to be visiting Harborough Market to join in with the Antiques and Vintage Market to provide valuations,”
said Mark Gilding.
“Who knows what we might find, perhaps some unusual retro jewellery, coins, militaria – particularly pieces connected with the war centenary or even pieces connected to Waterloo with the recent bicentenary, maybe pictures china or ceramics. That’s what makes it so interesting; we never know what items we will see.”

Harborough Market, which is operated by Market Place, is open 8am to 5pm Tuesday to Saturday and 9am to 3pm on Sunday for the popular Sunday Antiques Market. Valuations will take place once a month.
