ToyWorld North West, St Helens leading independent toy specialist and Tiny Toes Babywear and Gifts the town’s most prominent baby retailer , both currently based in St Mary’s Market, are delighted to announce that terms have been agreed allowing the companies to launch a joint venture, Little Kings and Fairy Wings.

The expansion plans include a 3 story town centre retail premises and a greatly diversified product and service offering, a move which secures both businesses futures in the town and cements their commitment and investment in the town centre regeneration project and the Council’s ambitious plans to  revitalise the town centre, spearheaded by new CEO Mike Palin.

To facilitate this expansion project, business owners Marc Faulkner and Tasha Shields are embracing Crowdfunding to raise the additional funds to make the move a success, seeking investment from as little as £1 in return for fantastic perks and rewards which are exclusively available via crowdfunder.co.uk

toyworld 2Tasha Shields, Tiny Toes owner and founder said “The small businesses are both under 4 years old and well known locally. New town centre premises have been found (over 3 floors – massive!) and most of the money needed for the move is already in place… Now all we need is a little help towards the final costs. Whilst we work to build the business up, we’re ploughing everything straight back in – we don’t own our own fancy homes, don’t drive fancy cars, we’re just down to earth local people trying to build a life for ourselves.”

And Marc Faulkner, Director of Toyworld North West added “St Helens town centre is going through a period of renewed focus and intense regeneration, and we want to be a part of it. We want to do our bit in turning around the fortunes of our much loved town, and we want to bring something new and unique to the children and parents who live and shop here.”

What we are looking to create is so much more than just a shop, it’s a social hub for parents, carers, babies and young people – a place filled with fun and excitement, with regular events to captivate young minds and a range of services which just can’t be found in the town.

Anybody wishing to support this project can visit the crowdfunder page at http://www.crowdfunder.co.uk/little-kings-and-fairy-wings to pledge, or do their bit by helping to spread the word.

ToyWorld North West first opened its doors in St Helens in early 2015, and the business has continued to grow and expand, launching an online shopping facility at www.toyworldnw.com and forging successful partnerships with leading toy companies including becoming an outlet for St Helens based Weasel and The Bug, a small independent traditional toy company specialising in high quality wooden and educational toys.

Tiny Toes Babywear and Gifts is in its fourth year trading from St Mary’s Market, offering a fantastic range of unique baby clothes, nursery goods and gifts. The business also provides an outlet for local crafters, stocking a wide selection of knitted, crocheted and embroidered items hand made with love and care, alongside occasional wear and accessories.
